Functional sculptures

Primal need and curiosity for the boundaries where aesthetics and functionality selfishly expand have taken form in the shape of functional sculptures that we conceptualized, designed and constructed at Ada Bojana (Montenegro). This is a colossal snake that is also a mini ramp  for skateboarding and pink elephant that is also a climbing wall. There is no right or wrong; this is a mini dream park where the possibilities for play are endless.

We aimed to create a place where kids can remain kids a while longer, and adults can reconnect with their inner child. The climbing wall is for those who wish to ascend, and the mini ramp is for those who seek the thrill of skateboarding. Climbing and skateboarding are exceptional sports as they teach perseverance, resilience, and creativity. They instill the values of trying, falling, getting up, and embracing endless creativity  to climb a route or perform a trick.

The location of our sculptures, Kiteloop Beach at Ada Bojana is the Balkan’s kitesurfing mecca and a haven for enthusiasts of alternative sports and a free-nature lifestyle. Our sculptures, nestled there, have been embraced by all generations and nations. Every visitor, regardless of age, has engaged with and utilized these sculptures, turning them into a shared space for play and enjoyment.

Our objective was to seamlessly blend function and art, play and sport, fun and persistence. We set out to create sculptures that not only stand as work of art but are also there to be utilized to their fullest potential. Above all, our intention was to serve as a reminder for everyone to play — to engage with the joy of the moment and embrace the spirit of playfulness.

By exhibiting these sculptures in public spaces on the sandy beach, they become mediators of play and exploration.

Built alongside our friend Kesić Woodcraft.

We turn everything upside down, changing the narrative: creativity over rules, play over success, attempts over talent.
